A native of Montreal, Aboud attended Tulsa for two years on a scholarship before joining the Als in 1963. Aboud was released by Montreal partway through the 1964 season (September 2) and didn't play in 1964. In 1965, Aboud had a tryout with the Argos, but didn't stick with them until 1966. Dick Aboud passed away on February 15, 2000.
