Mark Weightman

Mark Weightman's career with the Alouettes is one of those great "rising through the ranks" stories we all love to hear about.  Weightman started as an intern with the Baltimore Stallions in 1995 where he was part of their Grey Cup victory.  When the American teams folded after the 1995 season, the Stallions relocated to Montreal to revive the the Alouette franchise which had folded just before the start of the 1987 season.  Weightman came with the team to Montreal and occupied a number of positions with the Alouettes over the years.  Weightman rose to be the Vice President of Operations and then Chief Operating Officer in May of 2012.  In December, 2013 Weighman moved up to become the President of the team, the top position with the club and one that had been vacant for a year since the resignation of Ray Lalonde.

Mark Weightman was born October 17, 1972 in St-Andre d'Argenteau, QC. Weightman obtained a Bachelorof Commercedegree with a major in Marketing from Concordia and a MBA from DDAM.  Since joining the Alouettes, Weightman has led or been part of many events and projects with the team.  These include the EnvironmentALS program to make the team more "green" and the expansion of Molson Stadium in 2010 by 5000 seats.
