Wiggins signed as a free agent with the New England Patriots of the NFL in 1991, but was rleased during draining camp. Wiggins then had a tryout with the New Orleans Saints in 1992. Calgary signed Wiggins in December, 1992 and he was named the top rookie in the West in 1993 with 47 catches for 881 yards. In 1994, Wiggins 64 catches for 859 yards. Wiggins became a free agent after the 1994 season and left the CFL. He returned in 1998, signing in September as a free agent with Edmonton. Wiggins had 31 catches in just 9 games.
