Bill Smith (b)

Blll Smith played eight years for Edmonton from 1956 to 1963 as a defensive back.  Smith had 22 career interceptions, including 6 in two different seasons (1959 and 1960)  Smith was named a West All-Star in 1960 (there were no CFL All-Stars at that time).  Smith went on to a career in business after leaving football, and served as the mayor of Edmonton from 1995 to 2004.
