[Reynold (Ray) James Skerrett]
Ray Skerrett played juvenile, highschool abd junior* football in Montreal. Skerrett was a speedy halfback and moved up to senior ball with the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1949. A pre-season ankle injury had Skerrett in and out of the Ottawa line-up, playing just two games, but scoring a touchdown. In 1950, Skerrett returned home to Montreal to play 5 games with the Alouettes. Ray Skerrett has passed away. The following was taken from an article on the 1948 junor football season (full article). As noted above, Skerrett played juvenile and high school ball in 1947 and was playing junor ball in 1948. Skerrett then joined the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1949.
