Shultz played his college ball at Arizona, and was a seventh round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL in the 1983 NFL college draft. The Cowboys released Schultz prior to the 1986 season and he signed with the Toronto Argonauts as a free agent. Schultz played nine seasons with the Argos from 1986 to 1994. Schultz won three East All-Star honours at offensive tackle in 1987, 1988 and 1991 and two CFL All-Stars in 1987 and 1988. After retiring from football, Schultz has become a cmmon sight as a football commentator on TSN.
