Satele had a tryout with the Washington Redskins of the NFL before joining the Calgary Stampeders as a free agent in April, 1986. Satele had a short, but very productive CFL career with two fumble returns and seven quarterback sacks in just six games played. Satele added another sack in Calgary's only playoff game in 1986.
