Donovan Rose

Rose was signed by Toronto in September of 1981.  Rose played 8 games for the Argos in his rookie season and saw action running back kicks.  Rose played 9 games with Toronto in 1982, with one interception and then after playing 5 games with 2 interceptions in 1983, Rose was traded to Winnipeg in October for future considerations and had 2 more interceptions in his 3 games with the Bombers in 83 to give him 4 for the season.  Rose then did a bit of a pinball imitaton, returning to Toronto in 1984, but was traded back to Winnipeg again along with a first round draft pickfor safety Paul Bennett.  Rose settled in Winipeg for just one year (1984), but had his best season with 8 interceptions. Winnipeg then traded him to Hamilton in time for the 1985 season in exchange for a fifth round draft pick in the 1986 draft.  Rose added another 6 interceptions for Hamilton and played in the Grey Cup in a losing effort against BC.
