Ted Roman was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario and played his college football at the University of Western Ontario. Roman was a second round pick of the Calgary Stampeders in the 1956 CFL college draft, but never played for the Stamps. Roman went on to play two seasons as a tackle for the B.C. Lions (1959-60)

Ted Rompassed away on December 25, 2014 at the age of 82.
