Born in Hamilton, Jim Quondamatteo started his football career with the Hamilton Tigers in 1948 (the Tigers would merge with the Hamilton Wildcats in 1950 to form the Tiger-Cats). Quondamatteo moved on join the Montreal Alouettes in 1949 and win his first of three Grey Cups with the Als. Quondamatteo moved on to play for Edmonton from 1950-55 where he won Grey Cups in 1954 and 1955. Quondamatteo was a second team West All-Sar at guard in 1950 and 1951 then a first team West All-Star in 1953. Jim Quondamatteo passed away on November 16, 2006.
