David Overstreet

David Overstreet played his college ball with the powerful Oklahoma Sooners, and was a first round draft pick (13th overall) in 1981 by the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.  Overstreet had a contract dispute with the Dolphins, and was lured to the CFL by then Montreal owner, Nelson Skalbania.  Overstreet played two seasons for Montreal (1981 and 1982).  His 815 yards rushing as a rookie in 1981 led the East.  Injuries limited Overstreet to only 6 games in 1982.  David Overstreet was killed in a car accident on June 25, 1984.
