McCauly joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders as a free agent in Marchl of 2003. After the 2003 season, McCauly signed with Dallas of the NFL and after his released returned to the CFL to play one game for BC in 2004. McCauly returned to the Riders as a free agent in 2005 and in 2006 played for Montreal.
