Warren Jones

Jones signed as a free agent with Edmontin in April of 1989, but missed the entire season on the injured list.  Jones was a backup QB for Edmonton in 1990 and 1991.  His 1990 numbers were pretty good for a backup (149 attempts, 55.7%, 1257 yards) to attrack interest and he was traded to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a couple of draft picks.  Jones didn't see much action in his first three seasons with the Riders (1992-94), but finally got his chance to start in 1995. In 1995 he had 432 pass attempts, completing 58.6% of them for 2958 yards.  In 1996, Jones was released by the Riders in August and later signed in September by Edmonton where he played one game.
