Joey Jauch

After playing at the University of North Carolina, Joey Jauch was drafted in the second round (ninth overall) by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1992 CFL college draft.  Jauch played three seasons with Hamilton before being traded to Saskatchewan in September, 1994 for a second round draft pick who turned out to be offensive lineman Jude St. John.  Jauch was released prior to the start of the 1996 season and signed as a free agent with the Montreal Alouettes.

Jauch had his best season offensively in his second season in the league.  He played in all 18 games for Hamilton at slotback and had a respectable 31 catches for 512 yards.  Jauch also saw action on special teams during his career, and twice recorded 12 special teams tackles in a season.

Jauch's father Ray Jauch played and coached in the CFL, and his older brother Jim Jauch played several seasons n he CFL as a slotback.
