Russ Jackson

Russ Jackson is pretty much universally accepted as the best Canadian QB in CFL history. Jackson played his entire career with the Ottawa Rough Riders and in his early years split the QB duties with another CFL Hall of Famer, Ron Lancaster. With the trading of Lancaster to the western Riders, Jackson took over the #1 spot.  By modern standards Jackson's passing statistics are not that impressive, but he started his career in an era where teams ran the ball more than half the the time and adjusted without a problem to the more passing orientated offense that started in the latter part of the 1960s.
