Coming out of Georgia Tech, Urban Henry was drafted by the Los Angelas Rams in the fourth round of the 1958 NFL draft. Henry came North to join the BC Lions for three seasons (1958-60) and won t wo West All-Stars at defensive tackle in 959 and 1960 (there were no CFL All-Stars until 1962). Henry returned to the States and joined the Rams for 1961. In 1962, Henry returned to the CFL with Edmonton (see picture at right), but didn't play any regular season games. Back in the NFL in 1963, Henrry played for the Green Bay Packers and then finished his playing career with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1964. Mainly remembered as a lineman, Henry also did placekicking in college and was sometimes used for kickoffs by the Lions when injuries struck. Urban Henry passed away in February, 1979.
