Gene Gossage

Gene Gossage played at Northwestern State where he was a 28th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1958.  While at Northwestern, Gossage was a two time Big Ten All-Star.  Gossage played three seasons (1960-62) with the Eageles, which included their 1960 championship season.  Gossage joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1963, playing eight games and then dressed for all 14 in 1964.  With Hamilton, Gossage was mainly an offensive guard, but he also saw action in the NFL at tackle and defensive end.  The Tiger-Cats went to the Grey Cup in both years that Gossage played for them, beating BC in 1963, but losing the grudge match to the same Lions in 1964. Gene Gossage passed away on May 1, 2011 at age 76.
