GeFraser

George Fraser was a long time guard and place kicker for Ottawa football teams. Fraser started his senior football career with the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1936, playing seven seasons for them through 1942. With the war on, the IRFU / Big Four which became the East division of the modern CFL suspended play but Fraser continued to play football. He played for the Ottawa Combines (as in combined services) of the ORFU (Ontario Rugby Football Union) in 1943 which continued to play during the war, mainly with military teams. The Combines were renamed in 1944 as the Ottawa Trojans and Fraser played for them in both 1944 and 1945. With the end of t he war in 1945, Fraser rejoined the Ottawa Rough Riders.
