Signed by Shrevport in May of 1995 and played one season for the Pirates before the US based teams folded. BC drafted Carthon in the tenth round of the dispersal draft. After one season in BC, Carthon became a free agent and signed with Winnipeg in May of 1997 and played two seasons (1997 and 1998) with the Bombers. A free agent again, Carthon signed with BC again for the 1999 season. BC released Carthon in February of 2000.
