Korey Banks

Korey Banks signed as a free agent with the Ottawa Renegades in October of 2004.  Banks played only 3 games that first season, but in 2005, quickly established himself as one of the top defensive backs in the CFL. Banks picked off 10 passes for Ottawa, returning two for touchdowns, and had an amazing 12 knockdowns.  When the Renegades folded, BC jumped at the chance to select the East and CFL All-Star in the dispersal draft.

Banks has not disapointed the Lions, adding another 7 interceptions in his first season on the coast in 2006 to win a West All-Star selection and his second CFL All-Star.  Banks added West All-Stars in all the years from 2007 to 2012 inclusive and CFL All-Stars in 2009, 2011 and 2012. That brings his All-Star totals (to date) to 8 division All-Stars and 4 CFL All-Stars.

Banks is best known as a defensive halfback, which is where all his All-Star selections have been, but has also played some outside linebacker as part of a league wide move to improve pass defence by using defensive backs at that position..
