Anderson was signed as a free agent by Ottawa an played 5 games for them in his rookie season in 1996. When Ottawa folded after the 1996 season, he was selected in the second round of the dispersal draft by Toronto, but released before the 1997 season. He was signed in October of 1997 by Saskatchewan, but did not play any games for the Riders. Saskatchewan released him prior to the start of the 1998 season and he was signed as a free agent by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and played 5 games for them in 1998.
