Acree initially signed with BC in 2005, but played only one game. In 2006, Acree impressed in limited games ith 28 catches in just 8 games. Edmonton signed Acree as a free gent in 2007 and he got off to a good start with 32 catches in 11 games before being injured. Acree was traded along with running back Tyler Ebell to Toronto for cornerback Jordan Younger in February, 2008. Acree played only one game with the Argos before being traded to Saskatchewan. Unfortunately, Acree had a serious injury that kept him on the injury list for most of 2008, playing just one game with the Riders.
